About us...

The Wish Upon A Star Theatre Company was founded in 2012 and celebrates its FIFTH anniversary this year!

With over 80 pupils we hold classes for all age groups and in all aspects of performance. We specialise in Musical Theatre and Street Dance,

Our teachers are all professional performers in their own right, with most having been in numerous West End productions.

Our aim at WUAS is to provide a safe, fun and friendly environment where our pupils can learn every aspect of the performance industry. We pride ourselves on building confidence, creating positive social skills and building friendships. Wish Upon A Star is for everyone no matter of your age or ability!

We are proud of our original ideas, new teaching techniques and our constant ability to make the arts current and relevant!

AMY JESSOP

Our director Amy Jessop started her career at the age of 5 where she was lucky enough to be in a production of L'isir D'Amore at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden with the amazing Luciano Pavarotti. 
She went on to appear in many production  such as Carmen, Annie, Macbeth, The Crucible and many more. Amy trained at the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London where she received a First Class BA (HONS) degree in Performance Art. 
Amy has Played the part of the Baker's Wife in 'Into The Woods' at the Charing Cross Theatre, the cat in 'Honk' and was Dance Captain for 'West Side Story' at the Battersea Arts Centre.
After graduating Amy went on the travel the world with the International production of MAMMA MIA! where she played the role of Sophie Sheridan on many occasions. 2009/2010 saw Amy take on the role of Alternate Scaramouche in We Will Rock You. 
Soon after Amy had her first child and settled down in Coggeshall, Essex where she started the Wish Upon A Star Theatre Company. The company started with two classes and around 10 children...now five years later WUAS has over 70 pupils and around 10 classes a week.
